Every time I design a new card, I think back to the simplicity of designs in the decorations along the classroom walls at my elementary school. Illustrations have not been the same since my grade school days. Informed illustrations are rare, as there is little understanding about the world around us. Why pumpkins for Halloween? What about other squash? When did the fall harvest become an unknown cultural unit in our society? Perhaps I'm reaching too far, here. But better reach far, than fall short, right?
